    • Mid-America Christian nearly came away with a massive upset at No. 24 Science & Arts on Tuesday night, but the Drovers managed to net two goals in the last seven minutes to hand the Evangels a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat at McLaughlin Field.
    • Despite suffering the loss, MACU got stellar play from its graduate student goalkeeper Rachel Torres, who made a career-high 11 saves for an .846 save percentage, nine of which came in the opening half. Torres has been especially sharp in-goal the last seven matches as she's notched an .800 save percentage or better in each of the last seven contests.
    • Brae Baker continued her torrid goal-scoring streak as she tied Stephanie Arrivillaga for the team-lead with her seventh goal of the season. Baker has found the back of the next in seven of MACU's 10 games this season and also taken sole possession of the team's points lead with 18.
    • The Evangels gave the Drovers their biggest challenge of the season since USAO had to fight back from a 1-0 deficit with an 88th minute goal against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) to force a 1-1 draw.

      • 1-2 W-L, 3.43 GAA, 28 Saves, .700 SV%, 1 SHO
  • Team Notes:
    • After going 4-3 in non-conference play, Central Christian has gotten off to a tough start to SAC competition as the Tigers fell 3-0 to Oklahoma Panhandle State at home last Saturday before suffering a 2-0 home loss to Wayland Baptist on Tuesday.
    • CCCK has been offensively challenged as it enters the latter half of the season as the Tigers rank eighth in the SAC in goals scored (13), averaging only 1.44 goals per game. Defensively, Central has not been able fare much better as the Tigers also rank eighth in the conference in goals allowed average (2.11).
    • Most of CCCK's scoring this season has come from the foot of junior defender Baylee Smith, who has netted four CCCK's 13 goals this season while the Tigers have split time between junior goalkeepers Katelyn Beckman and Celena Vanhaezebrouck this season. Overall, the latter has been the slightly more effective keeper, tallying 15 saves for a .789 save percentage and has allowed only four goals in four games this season.
    • Mid-America Christian has put on an offensive onslaught in its last two meetings against the Tigers as MACU has won those two contests by scores of 5-0. In last season's meeting in McPherson, the Evangels blasted 53 shots with 31 shots on-goal, but Beckman put together an incredible performance in-goal by tallying 25 saves.
