Brianna Goodwin Makes Way Back to MACU as Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach

OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Women's Soccer team is welcoming back a familiar face to its coaching staff as Brianna Goodwin (Jezioro) returns to serve as the Reserve Head Coach and Assistant Coach to the Varsity team for the upcoming 2026 season.

"Very excited to add Bri to the coaching staff," stated MACU Head Coach Anthony Yousey. "She bring great playing experience as an alum of MACU soccer as well as experience in coaching from club soccer. I think she really fits our team's culture and will really help our program continue to grow."

Goodwin competed for the Evangels during the 2012-15 seasons, where she saw action in 81 games and made 76 starts while wrapping up her career with 16 goals and seven assists on 116 shots and 69 shots on-goal out of the midfield position.

Goodwin owns MACU's NAIA Era single season record for minutes played with 1858 logged during the 2014 campaign while also occupying multiple spots in the career record book, including: shots (116, 10th), shots on-goal (69, 9th), shots on-goal percentage (.595, 4th), games played (81, 2nd), and minutes played (5987, 4th).

"Returning to MACU to share my love of the game with these athletes is incredibly special," said Goodwin. "I'm excited to bring my experience as both a player and a coach to this program, but more than that, I'm looking forward to helping these athletes grow in confidence, character, and love of the game."

Following her collegiate career, Goodwin coached youth soccer, primarily at the third grade level for seven years and still also competes in professional indoor soccer for the OKC Ghosts in the MASLW for both the 2025 and 2026 campaigns.

With the expansion of the Reserve program, Goodwin will be spearheading the squad who are scheduled to compete in 11 games and three preseason scrimmages for the 2026 campaign. The MACU alum will also serve as an Assistant Coach for the varsity team, who is coming off two of its best seasons in program history with back-to-back appearances in the NAIA Tournament, including getting its first NAIA Tournament victory with a 6-0 win over Tougaloo last season.

Both the varsity and reserve teams will be seeing their first action with a pair of preseason home scrimmages against the South Lakes Soccer Club and Redlands Community College on Aug. 5 with a 5 p.m. kickoff for the reserve team and a 7:30 p.m. kickoff for the varsity team at the Dill Soccer Field.
