Men’s Track & Field Completes Indoor Regular Season at Washburn Open

TOPEKA, Kan. – The MACU Men's Track & Field team completed its last tune-up of the indoor regular season at the Washburn Open at the Sneed Indoor Athletic Facility on Friday and Saturday.
 
EVENT RESULTS EVENT SUMMARY
  • Mid-America Christian competed in its first distance medley relay race of the 2025-26 indoor campaign as the four-man tandem of Chase Cotarelo, Blake Jensen, Collin Seely, and Aidan Collins combined to post a 10:55.32, ranking as the second-fastest time in program history.
  • The squad was just seven seconds shy of matching the program record set at last year's Washburn Open as Collins, Seely, Jaden Rodriguez, and Mohamed Zairi notched a 10:48.50.
  • The only other event the Evangels competed in at the meet was the 3000-meter as Lucky Maila posted his second-best 3k time of the year at 8:56.57, marking the fourth-fastest in MACU's record book.
  • Jaden Rodriguez was the only other Evangel running in the 3000, crossing the finish line in 9:14.91.

  • Mid-America Christian will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the NCCAA Indoor National Championships which will once again be held at the Doden Fieldhouse at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio from Feb. 13-14.
