EL DORADO, Kan. – The MACU Track and Field team put together another strong weekend at the Grizzly Gold Invite hosted by Butler Community College at the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex as four outdoor records were broken and four NCCAA National Championship Qualifying standards were met.

MEN'S EVENT SUMMARY

• 100-Meter Dash
  • Jagger Jay once again broke his own program record. After initially setting the record of 11.46 at the OBU All-Comers Meet a few weeks ago, he knocked 0.29 seconds off his time with a new personal best of 11.19.
  • Sam Boyles and Matthew Kletke also set personal bests in the event as well as Boyles mark of 11.75 officially marks the third-fastest time on MACU's list while Kletke's 11.92 finish goes down as the fifth-fastest mark.
• 200-Meter Dash
  • With the Evangels competing in the 200-meter dash for the first time in program history, Jaden Ingram established MACU's mark to beat when he crossed the line in 23.47 in his first outdoor meet of the 2026 campaign.
  • Boyles and Kletke also competed in their second sprinting event of the Saturday slate with each finishing with times of 24:25 and 25.53.
• 400-Meter Dash
  • MACU was also competing in its first ever outdoor 400-meter dash and already, the Evangels garnered an NCCAA National Championship qualifier. After bettering his NCCAA mark in the 800-meter on Friday, Chase Cotarelo notched his second NCCAA qualifier in as many days, finishing with a time of 51.09, making it the 17^th-best mark in the association this season.
  • Blake Jensen also competed in the event, setting his personal-best mark at 52.84.
• 800-Meter Run
  • While Cotarelo officially qualifier in the 800-meter at the OBU All-Comers Meet, he improved his time while also breaking into MACU's top five list. Crossing the finish line in 1:57.34, he set the fifth-fastest time in the program's record book while also tallying the sixth-best time in the NCCAA.
  • Jensen and Collin Seely also competed in the 800-meter, as Jensen posted a personal-best with a 2:02.96 while Seely crossed the line in 2:04.74.
• 1500-Meter Run
  • Cameron Pearson and Saulo Castro competed in the 1500-meter, each tallying times of 4:16.88 and 4:56.73.
• 3000-Meter Steeplechase
  • After establishing the program record at OBU two weeks ago, Aidan Collins shattered his personal-best mark, posting a 10:14.16, bettering his time by more than 11 seconds and setting the new fifth-fastest mark in the NCCAA.
• 5000-Meter Run
  • While it came slightly short of his personal-best, Lucky Maila still ran the fourth-fastest 5k time in MACU's outdoor record book when he crossed the line in 15:35.85.
  • Jawad Salame competed in his first ever outdoor 5000-meter race, posting a time of 18:03.78.

  • Cora Eyler – 12^th – 18.00

WOMEN'S EVENT SUMMARY

• 100-Meter Hurdles
  • Cora Eyler posted her second-fastest 100-meter hurdles time of the 2026 outdoor season when she crossed the finish line in at 18 seconds even.
• 400-Meter Hurdles
  • After setting an NCCAA National qualifying standard two weeks ago in Shawnee, Eyler improved with a new personal-best this weekend, notching a mark of 1:12.46, making it the eighth-fastest time at the national level so far this season.
