- Team Notes:
- Mid-America Christian secured the No. 4 seed in the SAC Tournament due to getting a massive upset over No. 7 Science & Arts in its final regular season series as Gia Reynosa tossed a complete game four-hit shutout while striking out eight in a 1-0 victory on Apr. 24. Even though the Drovers took three out of four in the series, MACU put up a tough fight against the NAIA powerhouse as it lost the finale only by a score of 3-1.
- The 2026 campaign marked the fourth-straight year the Evangels locked up one of the top four seeds in the SAC Tournament and the seventh time in the last eight seasons (excluding the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season).
- A young Evangels team that features no seniors and only three juniors, the Evangels put together a sensational second half of the season. After MACU fell 5-0 to Langston on Mar. 20 that dropped the Evangels to 6-16 on the year, the Evangels wrapped up the regular season by going 15-8 over the last 23 games with seven of those losses coming against NAIA powerhouses No. 4 Science & Arts and No. 5 Oklahoma City.
- The Evangels feature one of the best pitching teams in the Sooner, finishing as one of three teams in the league with an under 4.00 ERA with the third-best at 3.43. MACU also ranks second in the league in total strikeouts with 205 on the year.

- Team Notes:
- At the start of April, Southwestern Christian caught fire by winning 12 of its first 13 games to begin the final month of the regular season, but the Eagles ran into a buzz saw to close out the season, losing its final five, including a tightly-contested series at No. 2 Oklahoma City to wrap-up the season.
- SCU wrapped up the regular season as one of the best hitting teams in the SAC, posting the third-highest batting average (.339) while also ranking third in on-base percentage (.395) and fifth in slugging percentage (.447). The Eagles are a squad best known for their team speed as they finished league play ranked second to only Science & Arts in stolen bases (160) with Oklahoma Panhandle State being a distant third at 126.
- The Eagles have also been a relatively solid team in the circle this season as well, ranking behind MACU at fourth with a 4.26 ERA. However, SCU has primarily gotten its outs in the field as the Eagles rank second-to-last in the conference in total strikeouts (109).
- The top of SCU's batting order has been downright lethal for the Eagles as Hannah Keele, Trinity Norwood, and Kylee Coy have all been hitting north of .400 for most of the season with all three of those hitters ranking in the top 10 in the league. Keele not only leads the SAC with a .519, but her hitting clip ranks as the second-highest in all of the NAIA.
- In the circle, Jessica Czikra and Macey Weger have gotten the bulk load of the starts, getting the nod in 34 of SCU's 45 games on the year. Czikra has the best ERA between those two starters at 4.08 while Lainey King has proved to be a reliable reliever for the Evangels, posting an 8-3 record with a 3.30 ERA over her 17 appearances.
- Even though MACU owns a 38-19 lead in the all-time series over SCU since the 2005 season, the last two years have been tightly contested between the two programs as Friday's matchup will mark the 13th time the two squads face off in that time frame. Over the previous 12 meeting, MACU owns a slight 7-5 edge as the two teams split the regular season series at Allen Field this season. When the two teams met back in early March, three of the four games were decided by two runs or less as MACU closed out the series with a 2-1 win on Serena Rodriguez's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.
