Piedmont High School Senior Kacie Jackson Signs to Play MACU Softball

June 18, 2008

6.18.08 - Piedmont High School graduate Kacie Jackson signed to play softball at Mid-America Christian University in the 2008-2009 season.

Jackson, 19, from Piedmont, is the daughter of Wendi and Danny Jackson. As a utility player and switch hitter for the Piedmont Wildcats, Jackson was named to the All-City team and All-Region team as a senior. She was also an All-State alternate.

"We are very eager to bring Kacie into our softball program," Softball Head Coach Jerald Lewis said. Versatility is one of her best attributes. She is a switch hitter who can put the ball in play from the right side and is willing to play anywhere she is needed. She is mentally mature for an upcoming freshman. She knows what it takes to win and be a part of a team at the collegiate level."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
