OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Softball team brings in a wellspring of experience to the coaching staff as Allyne Clark has been named the program's new Assistant Coach heading into the 2026-27 academic year.
"Hiring the right people is one of the most important parts of building a championship program, and I believe we have found an incredible addition in Coach Al," stated Head Coach Elicia Espinosa. "She brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, a proven track record of winning, and a passion for developing young women. Coach Al understands what it takes to compete at a high level, and I'm confident she will help take our program to the next level. I'm incredibly excited to have her joining us and believe the best is still ahead for MACU Softball."
Clark comes to MACU after spending the last two seasons as the Assistant Coach at NCAA D-II Embry-Riddle (Fla.), where she was highly involved in offensive and defensive player development, recruiting, and handling multiple team management duties. The Eagles posted a solid 29-18 record during her first season with the program in 2025.
Before going to Embry-Riddle, Clark served as the Assistant Coach at Iowa Western Community College during 2023 and 2024 campaigns. In her tenure with the Reivers, IWCC put together a pair of outstanding seasons. In 2024, the Reivers went 41-19 and advanced all the way to the NJCAA World Series Elimination Round after winning the Region 11 Tournament and the Midwest District.
Prior to entering the collegiate sphere, Clark coached at the club level, first as an Assistant Coach for the Clearwater Lady Bombers 18U team from 2021-22 and the Christchurch, New Zealand 18U Club Team and its Provincial Representative team from 2017-20.
During that stretch from 2017-20, Clark also played softball at the professional level in New Zealand and the Czech Republic as well as a stint in the U.S.
Clark played her collegiate softball at Highland Community College from 2013-14 before going on to play at NCAA D-I Iona (N.Y.)

Mid-America Christian will be looking to continue building toward the start of the 2027 after wrapping up the 2026 campaign with a 22-26 overall record and finished fourth in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings with a 19-17 league mark. The Evangels greatly turned their season around in the second half of the campaign, going 16-10 over the final 26 games, which included an 11-game win streak as well as a 1-0 upset win over No. 7 Science & Arts.
