Evangels Softball welcomes Jackie Hilterbran for upcoming 2011 season

Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Mid-America Christian softball head coach Jerald Lewis has announced that Jackie Hilterbran has signed to play softball at MACU for the upcoming 2011 campaign.
Hilterbran joins the Lady Evangels after a vastly successful high school playing career at Westmoore from 2007-09 and then at Southmoore HS in 2010.

At Westmoore HS, Hilterbran earned All-Conference honors in 2008 and helped the squad win back-to-back Regional championships in 07 and 08 and then finish as state runner-up in 08 & 09.

Hilterbran was then an All-Region performer at Southmoore in 2010 while helping the team to a runner-up finish at the Southmoore Chickasha Tournament.

She has also competed for the Oklahoma Sensations, a travelling team coached by Gene Templeton.

Hilterbran helped the Sensations to an 18U tournament championship in Muskogee and Duncan and also to a fifth-place finish at the National Fastpitch Softball 18U Tourney.

While with the Sensations, Hilterbran received a National Sportsmanship award, an exclusive honor given out to only one player out of 250 teams entered.

Her activities have also not been limited to the field, as Hilterbran is a intermittent volunteer at the Integris Southwest Medical Center.

A solid student-athlete, she carried a 3.4 grade-point-average in high school and was a member of the National Jr. Honor Society.

"I'm excited to have Jackie as part of my program," Lewis said.  "She brings tremendous character and talent to our University."

"I'm looking forward to the next four years with her."

Hilterbran is the daughter of Rhonda and David Hilterbran.
