Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Elizabeth Agpalo starred on the mound and at the plate to lead the USAO Lady Drovers to a doubleheader sweep over the Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels, winning both games by scores of 6-2 & 4-0 Thursday afternoon (Mar. 31).
The Lady Drovers broke out on top in the opener with a run in the first and then added three more in the second and two in the third.
A two-run, two-out single by Skyler Nichols keyed the three-run second and Agpalo hit a two-run homer in third that made it 6-0.
Neesha Sorrell threw seven innings and gave up two runs, none earned with nine strikeouts to get the win for USAO.
Jill Wilbanks also tossed seven innings and allowed five runs, but only three earned.
The nightcap was a pitcher's duel as both starters hurled zeros on the board until the Lady Drovers got on the board on an RBI single by Jessica Horton in the fifth.
Horton then broke the game open with a two-out, bases-clearing, three-run double in the sixth that put the Lady Drovers up by four runs.
Agpalo was solid on the hill, tossing a complete game shutout and blanking the Lady Evangels on only two hits.
