Lubbock, Texas -- The Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps won by identical scores of 8-0 to sweep the Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels Saturday afternoon (Apr. 2) in Lubbock, Texas. 

Stephanie Rendon drove in three runs in the first win, including a two-run single in the first.

The Lady Chaps then added two runs in both the second and third innings and took a 7-0 lead on a solo homer by Melissa  Hartkop in the fourth.

Hartkop then put the game away with an RBI single in the sixth. 

Shanci Brown went 2-of-3 at the plate for the Lady Evangels in the opener. 

Meagan Navarrette tossed six scoreless innings and struck out six to notch the win. 

The nightcap started much like the first game as RBI singles from Hartkop and Latainna Eltsosie in the first inning quickly gave the 17th ranked Lady Chaps (31-6, 10-4 SAC) a two-run lead. 

LCU then added two more in the second, a run in the third and put it away with a three-run fifth. 

Hartkop was a perfect 3-of-3 at the dish for the Lady Chaps. 

Alyssa Freight pitched four scoreless innings to pick up the win.

The Lady Evangels will next play a doubleheader at Southern Nazarene on Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 5) at 2 p.m. in Bethany, Okla.
