OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University Softball head coach
Robert Wakefield has announced another signing for the 2014 season in Tymber Howard, a first baseman from Washington, Okla.
As the starting first baseman for the Washington HS Warriors, Howard hit an impressive .333 with a .357 on-base-percentage and 56 RBI.
She was a two-time All-Conference selection in both Fastpitch and Slowpitch, while helping her Slowpitch squad to the 2011 state championship.
Howard's Fastpitch team also finished as the state runner up in 2010 and then took home the conference title in the 2012 season.
"Tymber is going to be a big asset to our program, "Wakefield said. "She comes from a very successful program at Washington High School. She is very fundamentally sound defensively and is a good hitter. Tymber is a player that is going to help improve MACU softball."
She is the daughter of Bryan and Brandy Howard and plans on majoring in Behavioral Science at MACU.
