OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University Softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the addition of Ada, Okla. native Carlee Henderson for the 2014 season.

Henderson competed for the Latta HS (Okla.) Panthers and helped the Panthers to three district championships and a regional title as a sophomore.

A solid student-athlete, Henderson was elected Class President for two straight years and was an Ada Elks Lodge Student of the Month selection as a senior.  She was also selected as a Research and Engineering Apprentice in July of 2012 and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society.

"Carlee is a great young lady on the field and in the classroom," Wakefield said. "She has been involved in many activities in leadership at Latta High School. We are so excited to get Carlee at MACU. Her athletic ability is going to be a big asset for our program."

She is the daughter of James and Carlene Henderson and is undecided on a major at MACU.
