OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels softball team has added freshman Rachel House into the fold for the 2014 season, head coach
Robert Wakefield has announced.
A 5'6 native of Mustang, Okla., House is expected to compete for playing time at first base and in the outfield for the Lady Evangels.
House earned All-Region honors competing for the Mustang HS Broncos and received the Golden Glove Infield Percentage award.
She also helped the Broncos make two consecutive appearances in the state playoffs from 2011-12.
A solid student-athlete, House was a member of the National Honor Roll at Mustang HS.
"Rachel is a young lady that has a lot of raw talent," Wakefield said. "We here at MACU are excited to get a young lady with the leadership and defensive skills that Rachel has. She will fit in very well with our softball and MACU family."
She is the daughter of Robyn and Mark House and is undecided on a major at MACU.
