OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of Natalie Bissell for the 2014 season.

Bissell played the past two seasons at Clarendon College in Clarendon, Texas.  She was a successful student-athlete, earning a spot on the Dean's list as well as receiving the Knorpp Academic Award.  She also made the list of Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges.

She is a native of Surrey, BC, Canada and attended Fleetwood Park Secondary High School.

"Natalie is a young lady that is going to give us some experience on the field being a junior and playing junior college ball," Wakefield said.

"She is going to give us some power in the lineup and also has the personality that everyone is going to like her.  We are very fortunate to have her at MACU and in our program."

She is the daughter of Chuck and Nancy Bissell and plans to major in Business at MACU.
