OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has made another addition to his recruiting class for the 2016 season with the signing of Taylor Fowble, a pitcher/first baseman from Chandler, Okla.

Competing for the Chandler High School Lions, Fowble was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the 2013 season and was a 66 conference honorable-mention selection.  She also earned Little All-City honors in 2014.

She also helped lead the Lions to the slow-pitch state tournament in both 2012 & 2014 and also consecutive regional-runner up finishes in fast-pitch.

A solid student-athlete, Fowble was also a member of the Superintendent's Honor Roll all four years at Chandler.

"Taylor is a young lady that we are excited to get into our softball program and school," Wakefield said.

"She is a good athlete and even better in the classroom. She will be on the mound as well as at first base. We are so glad to get Taylor here at MACU."

She is the daughter of Mark and Tracy Fowble and plans to major in Business at MACU.

Fowble is joining a program that enjoyed a breakout 2014 season by winning a single-season best 34 games along with the program's first appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference title game.
