OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the addition of Tiphani Napier, an outfielder from Ardmore, Okla. to the program for the upcoming 2015 season.

Prior to arriving at MACU, Napier played at Rose State College and earned All-Region honorable-mention honors after batting .328 and starting every game as a freshman.

Napier prepped at Plainview High School in Ardmore and helped the squad to four straight district championships along with a regional title and a state tournament appearance in 2011.

She was a two-time all-conference performer at Plainview and also received all-state recognition and was a three-time All-Ardmoreite selection.

Napier finished her career as the school's single-season and all-time career home run leader.

"Tiphani is going to be a big plus to our team in many ways," Wakefield said.

"She has a big bat with a strong arm and is coming from a good program in Rose State.  We are looking forward to having her in our program the next two years.  We are always happy to get great student-athletes like Tiphani in our MACU softball program."

Tiphani is the daughter of Tammy and Mike Napier.

Napier is joining a program that enjoyed a breakout 2014 season by winning a single-season best 34 games along with the program's first appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference title game.
