OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of Cassidy Hart for the upcoming 2015 season.

She is an OKC native and is the daughter of Brian and MACU Human Resources Generalist Christy Hart.

Hart prepped at Putnam City High School before transferring to Rose State College.

She earned All-Region honors as a freshman at Rose State following the 2012-13 season.

"Cassidy is a young lady that will give us more experience on the field," Wakefield said.

"She is coming  from a good program in Rose State and will give us more depth in the infield where she can play third, second, and shortstop. We are glad to have Cassidy on our team and to be a Lady Evangel."

Harts plans to major in Sports Management at MACU.
