MACU Softball Inks Marki Dethloff for 2015 Season

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced that the program has signed Marki Dethloff, a transfer from Murray State College (Okla.) for the 2015 campaign.

Dethloff comes to MACU after earning All-Regional honors last year as a sophomore at Murray State in Tishomingo, Okla.

She prepped at Plainview High School in Ardmore, Okla., pitching and playing first base.

Dethloff was an All-State first alternate and was also an All-Ardmoreite Super Team pick from 2010-12 at Plainview HS.

"Marki will be a big addition to our pitching staff as well as our team," Wakefield said.

"We are very fortunate to get her in this late in the year. Her good work habits will help her get better and help our team in the circle."

She is the daughter of Joe and Angie Dethloff and plans to major in Psychology at MACU.

Dethloff is joining a program that enjoyed a breakout 2014 season by winning a single-season best 34 games along with the program's first appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference title game.
