OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels softball squad has added Cheyenne Anderson into the mix for the 2015 season.

Anderson comes to MACU after attending Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Okla., where she was a member of the President's Honor Roll and the Scholar's program.

A native of Pittsburg, Okla., Anderson prepped at Pittsburg High School and was a three-time All-Conference Pitt 8 Fastpitch selection while also earning All-Conference Pitt 8 Slowpitch honors in 2013.

Anderson also competed in basketball at Pittsburg HS, notching second-team Indian All-State selection along with a Basketball Academic All-State honor. She also helped the Pittsburg Basketball Panthers advance to the state quarterfinals.

"Cheyenne is a young lady that can play more than one position," MACU head coach Robert Wakefield said.

"She can pitch as well as play second base.  We are excited to have Cheyenne in our MACU softball family."

She plans to major in Math/Behavioral Science at MACU.

Anderson is joining a program that enjoyed a breakout 2014 season by winning a single-season best 34 games along with the program's first appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference title game.
