OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Sooner Athletic Conference preseason poll for softball has been released and the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels have been picked to finish sixth in the upcoming 2015 season.

Oklahoma City University was tabbed to win the league, with the defending regular season champion St. Gregory's University Cavaliers coming in second.

Oklahoma Baptist University was ranked third, followed by Texas Wesleyan University and USAO rounding out the top five.

After MACU, Southwestern Christian University was seventh and Southwestern Assemblies of God University wound up eighth to conclude the poll.

The Lady Evangels begin this season on Feb. 10 at Oklahoma Christian University and are coming off of a breakout 2014 season that featured winning a single-season best 34 games and the program's first appearance in the SAC title game.
