OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels have inked another early addition for the 2017 season in Stella Millican, head coach Robert Wakefield has announced.

Millican prepped at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Okla. and helped the Sandites to a 6A regional championship and a state runner-up finish in 2015. The Sandites have also been 6A district runners-up the past two seasons and was a 6A regional runner-up in 2014.

The Sand Springs, Okla. native is a solid student-athlete, having been named to the Academic All-Conference team in FastPitch for three consecutive years and was a SlowPitch Academic All-Conference selection in 2015.  Millican has also been a member of the National Honor Society for four years.

"Stella is a young lady that is going to help up with depth at several positions," Wakefield said.

"She played for a great high school program in Sand Springs High School and will help us in the outfield as well as give us depth at catching. Her personality will go a long way in being successful at MACU.  We are so glad to have Stella in our program."

Millican is joining a program that is coming off consecutive winning seasons for the first time since joining the NAIA in 2008.

The daughter of Brad and Paula Millican, she plans to major in Education at MACU.
