OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has inked another early signing for the 2017 season with the addition of Allie Foster.

Foster has competed for the Turner (Okla.) High School Falcons, helping the squad to a Class B Fastpitch state runner-up finish this season and a Class A Slowpitch state tournament appearance in the 2012-13 season.

The Wilson, Okla. Native was an All-State third baseman this past year and also competed for the basketball squad that twice advanced to the state tournament.

A solid student-athlete, Foster has been a three-time member of the Superintendents Honor Roll and was on the Principals Honor Roll in 2012. She was also selected as her Class President for 2016.

"Allie is a tremendous young lady that comes from a great family and she is a great athlete that will have the chance to help us immediately," MACU assistant coach Mickey Wakefield said, who was heavily involved in the recruiting process.

"Not only is she an All-State player but is an outstanding student.  We are looking forward to seeing her in a Lady Evangel jersey next year."

She is the daughter of Kent and Melissa Foster and will be joining a squad that is coming off consecutive winning seasons for the first time since joining the NAIA.
