OKLAHOMA CITY -- The No. 1-ranked Oklahoma City University Stars improved to 52-3 on the season and advanced to the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament title game with an 8-0 victory over the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels today (May 1) at Ann Lacy Stadium on the OCU campus.

Just 10 days after pitching a perfect game against the Lady Evangels, OCU hurler Abby Meador threw a one-hit shutout in her six innings in the circle.

Meador didn't allow a hit until Tiffany Holt singled in the sixth inning.

Two-run singles by Carissa Turang and Kyndra Holasek helped the Stars score four runs in the second and three in the third for a 7-0 bulge.

Turang then singled home another run in the sixth for her fourth RBI of the day to end it.

The Lady Evangels (24-19) will now gear up for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional Tournament, scheduled for next week on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Okla.
