OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of Moore, Okla. native Amber O'Bryant for the 2017 season.
O'Bryant prepped at Moore (Okla.) High School, where she helped the Lions to consecutive state runner-up finishes in the 2013 & 2014 seasons.
A three-year varsity letterman, O'Bryant was also a solid student-athlete with a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average.
"We are excited to sign Amber for the 2017 season," Wakefield said. "She is a young lady that will work hard for you everyday and can play multiple positions, but mainly second base."
"Amber will be a good fit for our team, as she is an excellent student that takes care of her classroom work. We are glad to have her in our MACU softball family."
She is the daughter of Sherri and Randy O'Bryant and plans to major in elementary education at MACU.
O'Bryant is joining a program that is coming off consecutive winning seasons for the first time since joining the NAIA in 2008.
