OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has landed another early signing for the 2017 season with the addition of 2B/OF Kortney Brown out of Duncan, Okla.

Brown last attended Rose State College after prepping at Duncan High School, where she earned honorable-mention and all-area honors.

She helped Duncan to a regional championship and a state tournament appearance in the 2012-13 seasons.

A solid student-athlete, Brown was part of an Academic state championship team and was also on the principal's honor roll.

"Kortney is a young lady that will help us immediately on the infield," Wakefield said.

"She will have experience at second base where we are graduating two seniors.  She will also add speed to the lineup and play the outfield.  We are excited to have her for our 2017 recruiting class."

Her parents are Rachel and Larry Wiseley, Shawn and Kim Brown.

Brown will be joining a squad that is coming off consecutive winning seasons for the first time since joining the NAIA.
