OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has added outfielder Alexis Franks to the squad as an early signee for the 2018 season.
Franks, an OKC native, prepped at nearby Westmoore High School and earned Honorable-Mention All-District, All-Conference and All-Region honors in 2016.
She helped the Westmoore Jaguars to a regional championship and a state tournament appearance in 2016.
Franks also was a two-time game MVP for the 2012 & 2013 USSSA World Series.
"Alexis is a hard worker on and off the field," Wakefield said. "She shows by example her compassion for the game of softball. Alexis is a great young lady with a great family to back her going to the next level. We are very fortunate to have Alexis at MACU for the future."
She is the daughter of Chris and Summer Franks and is set to join a program coming off three straight winning seasons along with its first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series appearance last year.
