OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has secured the services of Alanna Leisy as an early signing for the 2018 season.

Along with recently signed Alexis Franks, Leisy competed for the nearby Westmoore High School Jaguars.

Leisy earned All-Conference, All-District and All-Region honors at Westmoore and was also selected as an All-State catcher.

She helped the Jaguars to a regional championship while also being chosen as the team's Offensive MVP.

"Alanna is a young lady with great talent behind the plate as well as playing different positions on the infield," Wakefield said.

"She has good skills at catcher with a great arm.  Alanna is a young lady that will come in and make an impact on our team immediately."

She is the daughter of Christina and Tommy Leisy and is set to join a program coming off three straight winning seasons along with its first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series appearance last year.
