OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of pitcher Taylor Bankston as an early addition for the 2018 season.

Bankston will come to MACU as a junior transfer from Murray State College and competed in high school for the Rattan (Okla.) Rams.

"Taylor is a great young lady!" Wakefield said.  "We are very fortunate to sign her for next year, as she will give us some experience in the circle for two years. We are looking forward to having her in our softball MACU family."

She is the daughter of Billy and Jana Lampton and plans to major in Psychology/Criminal Justice at MACU.

Bankston is set to join a program that is coming off three straight winning seasons along with its first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series appearance last year.
