OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of Courtney Anderson for the 2017 season.

Anderson is currently competing as a sophomore at Rose State College in Midwest City, Okla. and is a product of Piedmont (Okla.) High School.

The 5'6 pitcher was a Conference All-Star selection, first-team all-conference pick and an honorable-mention all-city performer at Piedmont.

Anderson was the second-rated pitcher in the region while also earning all-region honors.  She helped the Piedmont Pirates to district and regional titles along with a state runner-up finish in 2012.

"Courtney is a young lady that is going to give us some experience on the mound for next year," Wakefield said.  "Coming from Rose State College she is going to face some strong competition.  She is going to work to get better every day and we are excited to have her on our team and at MACU."

She is the daughter of Amy and Dave Anderson and plans to major in Special Education at MACU.
