OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangel softball program has added Ribbin Anderson for the 2017 season, head coach Robert Wakefield has announced.
Anderson is a native of Cushing, Okla. and prepped at Cushing High School.
At Cushing, Anderson was an all-conference and all-region performer while twice receiving the team's Merit Award. She was also a Hustle Award and Work Ethic Award recipient and helped the Lady Tigers win four straight Fastpitch district championships.
A versatile student-athlete, Anderson was a three-sport letterwinner and a two-event state qualifier in track.
Anderson has also been solid in the classroom, earning Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Student of the Month honors and also being named the IT Senior Athlete.
"We are excited to sign Ribbin, as she will help us in the outfield with depth," Wakefield said.
"The big upside to Ribbin is that she is a great athlete that can run and is another young lady with a great upside. We are glad to have Ribbin at MACU and our softball program."
Ribbin is the daughter of Chad and Christa Short and will be joining a program that is coming off consecutive winning seasons and has currently won 10 of its last 11 games this year.
