Roanoke, Va. – The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels fell 7-1 to the third-seeded Judson University Eagles in a pool play game at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series at the Botetourt Sports Complex in Roanoke, Va.

MACU starter Macie Crites blanked the Eagles through the first four innings before running into trouble in the fifth.

A three-run blast by Ashley Quinan then capped the six-run frame for the Eagles.

After an RBI single by Maddie Smith made it 7-0, Tiphani Napier doubled home pinch-runner Taylor Fowble in the seventh inning to help the Lady Evangels (26-29) avoid the shutout.  Fowlbe was pinch-running for Marki Dethloff, who drew a lead-off walk.
