OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University senior outfielder Tiphani Napier was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced today (Mar. 6). Overall, it's the third straight week for the Evangels to win the award, as senior outfielder Taryn Callender received the honor last Monday (Feb. 27).

Napier had an astounding week at the plate, batting an incredible .773 in the Evangels' six outings.

She hit three doubles, one home run and drove in eight runs.

At the Friends University Tournament over the weekend, Napier batted .929 (13-of-14) in the four games.

The Ardmore, Okla. native also drove in six runs against Bethany (Kan.) on Friday (Mar. 3), which is tied for the second most in school history as an NAIA program.

Napier and the Evangels will next play at Southwestern College (Kan.) tomorrow afternoon (Mar. 7) at 1 pm.
