  • Mid-America Christian played an outstanding match in its Sooner Athletic Conference opener at Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, shutting out the Stars in a 3-0 victory at Brian Harvey Field.
  • Senior midfielder Kelsey Henry, who was one of the team's leading scorers last season and had just two goals coming into the contest, had a breakout game, scoring a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 16^th minute.
  • Senior keeper Jennifer Starwalt had one of her best matches of the season in posting her third shutout, recording a season-high six saves in the contest.
  • The matchup this weekend will feature two of the highest ranked teams in the NCCAA as the Evangels rank No. 6 in the poll while the Tigers sit in seventh.

  • Central Christian got off to a rough start in Sooner Athletic Conference play, dropping a 5-0 decision at No. 9 John Brown on Tuesday. As a team, the Tigers could only muster three shots with only one shot landing on-goal in 90 minutes of action.
  • Overall, the Tigers have struggled offensively, averaging just 2.13 goals per game on 11.6 shots per game, which ranks 136^th in the NAIA. However, the Tigers have been efficient in their limited opportunities, putting .688 of their shots on-goal, which is the 13^th-best rate in the nation.
  • Senior midfielder Samantha Carachure has been the most prolific in the CCCK attack, recording three goals and two assists while senior mid Rachel Schlagel has added two goals and two assists on the year.
