  • Team Notes:
    • Snapping a two-match winless streak at Wayland Baptist on Tuesday, the Evangels faced a tough road test against the Pioneers on Tuesday, but by getting goals from Alissa Taylor and Jasie Eischen, MACU was able to come away with its third-straight 2-1 victory.
    • In the defensive grinder, Mid-America Christian was able to out-perform the Pioneers in the attack, outshooting WBU 14-9 with a slim 6-4 edge in shots on-goal.
    • The winning goal by Eischen allowed her to become the fourth different Evangels player to net at least two game-winners this season, joining Madison Chavez, Francesca Martella and Jasmine Morales.
    • The victory allowed MACU to climb up to third in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings as their 4-1-1 league record has netted the Evangels 13 conference points, sitting just two points behind Oklahoma City (5-1) for second and moving ahead of Southwestern Assemblies of God (4-2), who MACU defeated last Saturday at the Dill Soccer Field.

  • Team Notes:
    • John Brown had no problems dispatching Central Christian on its home pitch on Tuesday night as the Golden Eagles ran away with one of their most lopsided victories of the season in the 7-0 result at Alumni Field.
    • Two of the top offensive teams in the SAC will go head-to-head in the Saturday showdown as the Golden Eagles are the second-best scoring team in the league at 3.57 goals per game while MACU comes in ranked third at 3.00 goals per contest. On-top of the two teams' offensive prowess, both squads have been stellar on the defensive end with JBU ranking third in the league at 1.00 goals allowed per game while MACU ranks second with a 0.88 GAA.
    • The Golden Eagles are led in the offensive attack by senior forward Lauren Walter, who put in a hat trick against the Tigers to stretch her team-lead to 13 goals to go with a SAC-leading 10 assists for 36 points, the third-highest point total in the conference.
    • Mid-America Christian will be seeking just its second win ever against the powerhouse John Brown program and its first ever win at Alumni Field. In last season's meeting at the Dill Soccer Field, the Evangels played the Golden Eagles tough. A Kealy Juarez goal in the 13th minute gave MACU the 1-0 advantage before JBU netted the equalizer in the 21st minute to send the game into the half all square at 1-1. The Golden Eagles netted a pair of quick goals in the 75th and 76th minutes to thwart MACU's comeback chances.
