- Brooklyn Wilson had a breakout day from the plate, leading the Evangels bats by going 5-for-7 (.714) with two doubles and a home run for three RBIs and four runs scored. Wilson narrowly missed hitting for the cycle in game one, batting 4-for-4 with a single, two doubles and her first career home run for two RBIs and three runs.
- The Evangels power bats came alive as MACU came into the series with just one homer on the season, but MACU bashed four long balls in the sweep, including a pair by Janessa Larman to push her into the top five for career home runs in the program's all-time record book. With her 11 career dingers, Larman is currently tied with Erica Love and Hannah Lynch for fourth and needs just three more long balls to match Natalie Bissell for the all-time record.
- Senior first baseman Olivia Roberts will be hunting a program record in her own right this weekend. The Mustang, Okla. product notched her 96th career RBI on Wednesday, moving her into a tie for the program's all-time lead with Hannah Salmon. Roberts needs just one more run driven in to sit alone at the top of MACU's all-time record book.

- Team Notes:
- Ever since suffering a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to Jarvis Christian (Texas) at the Red Dirt Classic on Mar. 4, Langston has been in a rough stretch where the Lady Lions have been eight-run ruled in eight consecutive games, being outscored 100-16 during that stretch.
- Langston enters the weekend doubleheader ranking sixth in the SAC in batting average (.274), seventh in on-base percentage (.334) and sixth in slugging percentage (.394), but rank dead last in pitching with a 12.27 ERA and last in fielding percentage (.927).
- Despite LU's offensive struggles, the Lady Lions do have one of the better bats in the SAC in senior outfielder Aubrea Hall, who ranks 11th in the league in batting average (.390), to go with the third-best slugging percentage (.780) with three doubles, two triples and three home runs on her 16 hits.
- The Lady Lions pitching problems carried over in the doubleheader loss to the Evangels on Wednesday as Langston ranks as the sixth-worst pitching team in the NAIA at 12.27. The most effective pitcher for the Lady Lions this season has been senior lefty McKenzie Connor, who is posting a 10.76 ERA over 27.1 innings of work.
- After winning the doubleheader on Wednesday, Mid-America Christian has won 13 regular season games against the Langston since 2019 while the Evangels only loss came in a 2-1 eight-inning heartbreaker in the SAC Tournament on May 6, 2021. Since Langston joined the SAC in 2018, the Evangels hold a 16-2 record in the series.
