  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian put up a historically great offensive performance in a 13-0, 22-1 doubleheader sweep at Southwestern on Wednesday. In the second game of the twin bill, the Evangels broke the program single-game record for most runs ever scored in a road game (22) and run differential (21).
    • Cailey Parsells continued her remarkable week from the plate with a six RBI performance in the opening game of that twin bill against SWC. In the top of the first, the senior outfielder smashed an inside-the-park grand slam down the right field line before slapping a 2-RBI single through the right side. Those six runs driven in is tied for the third-most by a single player in a game as Tiphani Napier holds the record with a pair of seven-RBI contests.
    • Since giving up four runs in a 5-0 loss to Oklahoma City on Mar. 10, Rachel Eggleston has been on-fire in the circle. After throwing four more shutout innings in game one against the Moundbuilders, Eggleston has only allowed four earned runs in 32 innings, equating to a 0.87 ERA during that stretch. Eggleston is currently tied for the lowest season ERA in the SAC at 1.63.
    • The Evangels enter the weekend leading the Sooner Athletic Conference in team on-base percentage (.403), team ERA (2.01) and team fielding percentage (.972).

  • Team Notes:
    • In their inaugural season, Kansas Christian enters the weekend twin bill in a bit of a slide. After going 4-2 in late February and early March, the Falcons have seven of their last eight games with their only win coming at home against Central Christian by a score of 3-2 on Mar. 14. The Falcons were re-matched against the Tigers on Tuesday and were shutout twice in a pair of 14-0 and 3-0 losses.
    • Four of KCC's players come into the contest batting .300 or better, led by pitcher Ari Lopez with a .333 rate from the plate. Sophomore catcher Alexis Williams leads the team with 15 runs scored while first baseman Cherie Green is posting a squad-high 16 RBIs.
    • On-top of being one of the Falcons' best bats, Ari Lopez has been the workhorse in the circle, tossing 74 percent of KCC's innings and allowing a team-best 5.41 ERA with 44 walks and 55 strikeouts over 101 innings.
    • Despite holding just a 5-17 record, Kansas Christian has been pretty competitive in their first season as the Falcons have gone 5-8 in games decided by three runs or less.
