  • Team Notes:
    • All five of Science & Arts' losses this season have come against the currently ranked No. 1 (Our Lady of the Lake) and No. 2 (Oklahoma City) teams in the NAIA as the Drovers are coming off a 3-1 series loss to the Stars at Bill Smith Ballpark this past weekend. After winning a 5-4 walk-off against OCU in the opener on Mar. 15, Oklahoma City won the rest of the games in the series by scores of 4-1, 4-2 and 9-2.
    • Science & Arts comes into the weekend with the 16th-best earned run average in the NAIA (1.76), which ranks second-best in the SAC while posting the third-best batting average (.319) to go with the second-best slugging percentage (.514) in the conference.
    • MACU will face a tall order in at least two of their games as the Evangels will be facing off against one of the best pitchers in the NAIA in junior righty Sophie Williams. Entering the weekend, Williams leads the SAC in wins (12) and strikeouts (107) while currently holding the second-lowest ERA (1.14).
    • The Evangels will also be looking to slow down one of the most prolific bats in the SAC in the speedy center fielder Macenzie Ruth. Not only is Ruth hitting for the fourth-best batting average in the SAC (.457) but has also nabbed the most stolen bases (24) and scored the sixth-most runs (24).
    • Even though USAO has controlled the all-time series, last season's series against Drovers was a downright thrilling one with four of the five meetings being decided by a single run. While Mid-America Christian and Science & Arts tied the regular season series 2-2, the Evangels dropped a heartbreaker to the Drovers in extra innings last season in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament. A costly error on a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the eighth proved to be the difference as the miscue allowed USAO to score the winning run in a 1-0 defeat on May 5 at Bill Smith Ballpark.
