KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Both the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their 2024 Softball Scholar-Athletes this week as Mid-America Christian placed 12 on the NAIA list while 11 garnered NCCAA accolades.
To qualify for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA), be a sophomore or higher by academic standing and completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution while also appearing on the NAIA Eligibility Certificate at the time of nomination.
To earn NCCAA Scholar-Athlete acclaim, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.40 cumulative GPA, be at least a junior by academic standing and finished at least one semester at the nominating institution while being competing student-athlete with the program.
