- In the opening game of the series, sophomore reliever Gia Reynosa, who is coming off an NCCAA Pitching Student-Athlete of the Week honor for last week's performances tossed five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out five while Isabel Ray notched her second complete game shutout of the year in game two, allowing just four singles and one walk while tallying four punchouts in seven innings of work.
- By batting 3-for-7 in the twin bill on Tuesday, senior utility Emylee Campbell made her mark in another career top 10 statistical category as her 132 career hits allowed her to supplant Katie Gracey (130, 2014-17) for the ninth-most in the book. The Blanchard, Oklahoma will have the opportunity to surpass a pair of former teammates for the next two spots in the record book as Cailey Parsells (135, 2020-23) and Mikaylee Allen (138, 2020-23) own the next two spots on the list.
- Campbell not only broke into the top 10 for hits, but she also cracked in with her 79th career RBI in game two, moving her into a tie for 10th with Natalie Bissell (2014-15). Once again, she sits just one back of Allen for ninth on the list.

- Despite coming off a tough home series against No. 5 Oklahoma City last weekend, Wayland Baptist put up a very tough fight against one of the NAIA's best teams as the Pioneers kept the first three games relatively close in 4-0, 5-2 and 6-0 losses before ending the series with a 4-2 victory on Apr. 12.
- In just their second season in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Pioneers have struggled to produce from the plate as WBU ranks second-to-last in the SAC in team batting average (.287) with a league-worst .344 on-base percentage. In the circle, the Pioneers rank in the middle of the pack at sixth with a 4.57 team ERA, but have been challenged defensively, tallying the third-worst fielding percentage (.933).
- Despite the offensive struggles, the Evangels will need to be carefully facing the powerful at of senior infielder Brooklyn Araujo, who is posting a strong .391 batting average while slugging .687 with 11 doubles, 4 triples and five homers for a team-high 32 RBIs. While Adriana Armstrong has been team's top pitcher this season with a 3.15 ERA, senior Addy Rich is coming off a big win in the circle against the Stars in her last outing.
- The Pioneers will be playing their first ever games at Allen Field as the first ever meeting between Mid-America Christian and Wayland Baptist came in Plainview, Texas last season. In that series, the Evangels won three close contests by scores of 4-0, 4-2 and 7-1 before dropping a tough 3-2 defeat in the series finale on Apr. 13, 2024.
