  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian is coming off a pivotal Sooner Athletic Conference sweep over Texas Wesleyan at Southeast High School on Monday. The Evangels rallied back from two runs down in game one to pull out the 6-2 victory before closing it out with 6-0 win in the second game.
    • As a result of the sweep, the Evangels moved into sole possession of third place in the SAC standings, now sitting two games in-front of the Rams and five games ahead of Southwestern Christian in fifth with eight games remaining in league play.
    • Emylee Campbell continued her torrid pace of breaking marks in MACU's program record book. In the opening game of the series, she became the first player in team history to hit two triples in the same game on two different occasions. Her seventh triple of the year moved her into a three-way tie with former teammate Cailey Parsells and Mikaylee Allen for the single season record while her 12th career three-bagger allowed her to surpass Parsells (11) and sit only behind Allen (15).
    • Sophomore pitcher Gia Reynosa continued her late season surge in the second game. After tossing a complete game shutout last Friday against Wayland Baptist, Reynosa tossed 6.2 shutout innings before Chloeaunna Madbull-Jim entered to get the final out. Over her last five outings, the San Antonio product has only allowed one earned run in 26.1 innings for an astonishing 0.26 ERA, garnering an NCCAA Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week and a SAC Pitcher of the Week honor in each of the last two weeks.

    • SCU has been one of the best power-hitting teams in the SAC this season as the Eagles rank third in the league in slugging percentage (.475) while posting the fifth-best batting average (.324) and are tied in fourth with MACU in on-base percentage (.387). Where Southwestern Christian has struggled the most this year has been in the circle as SCU ranks just seventh in the conference in team ERA (4.80).
    • Junior shortstop Hannah Keele has continuously been one of the best leadoff bats in the SAC, posting a .404 batting average and .447 on-base percentage while being only one of five players in the league to eclipse 50 runs (51) with the third-most stolen bases (28). • In the circle, junior Jessica Czikra has been the most consistent arm in the Eagles rotation as she enters Wednesday's contests with a 12-6 record in her 23 appearances while notching a 3.52 ERA while freshman Lainey King is posting an 8-4 record over 21 appearances with a 4.30 ERA.
    • The last time the two teams met at Dolese Field back on Apr. 12, game one proved to be an epic back-and-forth battle that saw MACU rally late, but ultimately fell in extra innings by a score of 13-12. The Evangels bounced back in the second game as Gia Reynosa tossed a complete game shutout to lead MACU to a 2-0 victory.
