- Team Notes:
- Mid-America Christian's pitching and defense was on-point in its regular season doubleheader finale at Langston on Apr. 25 as the Evangels allowed only one unearned run in the 4-0, 9-1 doubleheader sweep at T.G. Green Park.
- Sophomore pitcher Gia Reynosa continued making a statement for potential All-Sooner Athletic Conference accolades as she wrapped up her regular season with another scoreless outing, allowing no earned runs on seven hits with no walks and two strikeouts over 6.1 innings of work in the 4-0 win over the Lions. As a result, the San Antonio product finished the regular season by allowing only one earned run over her final 39.2 innings of work. Also impressively in that stretch, Reynosa has only walked one batter for an impressive 17-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio while only five of the 28 hits she's given up have went for extra bases, all of which were doubles.
- On-top of Reynosa being named the back-to-back SAC Pitcher of the Week, senior utility Emylee Campbell was named the SAC Player of the Week for her performances last week as well as MACU went 5-1. During the stretch of games last week, the Blanchard, Okla. native slashed .450 (9-for-20) with a double and four triples for four RBIs and five runs while also stealing four bags.
- After batting through some midseason injuries and illness, one of MACU's top pitchers in Chana Wolfe has been starting to return to form over the last few weeks. After the ace pitcher saw her ERA rise to a season-high 2.82 following an 8-5 loss to Wayland Baptist on Apr. 17, the Salina, Kan. product has bounced back over her last four outings. Wolfe in that span has allowed only four earned runs over her last 19.2 innings of work, including an outing last Friday where she gave up just one unearned run on one hit in a complete game 9-1 victory at Langston, bringing her season ERA down to 2.52 with a 3-1 mark in the circle over those four games.

- Team Notes:
- Southwestern Christian had a tough finish to its regular season as the Eagles lost four of its final five games, including dropping three-out-of-four in its final regular season series at Oklahoma Panhandle State from Apr. 25-26. Outside of getting a 12-2 win in the second game of the slate, SCU suffered a pair of one-run defeats at 7-6 and 9-8 before losing 8-3 in the series finale.
- The staple of SCU's play this season has been the squad's hitting as the team ranks third in the SAC in slugging percentage (.467) with the third-most extra-base hits (120) and ranks fourth in on-base percentage (.385). While Southwestern Christian has been an excellent hitting team, the Eagles have not quite been so strong in the circle with the league's sixth-ranked ERA (4.65) and sixth-lowest WHIP (1.71) while posting the worst K/7 rate in the conference (1.72).
- A big reason why the Eagles are a strong scoring team is they get some strong production from their leadoff in junior infielder Hannah Keele, who has scored 56 runs and stolen 30 bases while posting a .415 batting average and .459 on-base percentage. The trio of Lexi Cahwee, Trinity Norwood and Holly Elam have been the biggest run producers on the team with the trio combining for 122 of the team's 237 RBIs with Cahwee and Norwood each hammering an impressive .676 slugging percentage.
- In the circle, the Eagles have been a bit more challenged to find its stride as Jessica Czikra establishing herself as the team's ace while posting by far and away the team's lowest ERA (3.46) for a 12-8 record in the circle. Lainey King has also found some positive results in the circle, going 10-5 with some strong run support behind her 4.03 ERA.
- Mid-America Christian and Southwestern Christian split their four-game series at Dolese Park this season as the Eagles won a pair of 13-12, 5-0 contests while the Evangels tallied a pair of 2-0, 5-0 wins as Gia Reynosa tossed a pair of complete game shutouts in those contests.
