Chana Wolfe Set to Compete in Florida Gulf Coast League

BRADENTON, Fla. – MACU Softball junior pitcher Chana Wolfe will be joining some elite softball company during the months of June and July as she has been selected to compete with the Manatee Squeeze in the Florida Gulf Coast League.

Regarded as the first pioneer and premiere summer collegiate softball organization, the FGCL will consist of nine teams playing 25 games concluding with a Playoff and All-Star Game over the next month.

A league featuring some of the best softball players in the country, Wolfe was the only non-NCAA D-I player selected to play for the Squeeze this summer.

Wolfe joins the team after completing her best season at MACU as she wrapped up the 2025 campaign with a 10-8 record in the circle, posting a career-low 2.57 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP. In 24 appearances with 20 starts, the Salina, Kan. product tossed eight complete games and four complete shutouts, allowing only 40 runs, 36 earned on 101 hits with a team-high 94 strikeouts and just 36 walks over 109 innings of work.

Over the course of the season, Wolfe twirled some incredible performances in the circle. In leading MACU to its first win of the season, she tossed a complete game two-hit shutout, allowing only one walk and tying a career-high nine strikeouts in a 2-0 victory over No. 7 Central Methodist at the NAIASB Invitational on Feb. 22.

Wolfe notched another massive win to her resume on Mar. 15 at Allen Field as she threw a complete game, allowing only one earned run on four hits with a walk and eight strikeouts for a 3-1 win over eventual NAIA National Runner-up, No. 5 Oklahoma City.

The third-year righty saved one of her best performances of the season for last at the NCCAA World Series in Grapevine, Texas on May 21. Facing Sterling in the NCCAA Semifinal, Wolfe tossed a complete game shutout, allowing only three hits and two walks while striking out six to help lead MACU to the 1-0 victory, punching MACU's ticket to the title game for just the second time in program history.

The Manatee Squeeze will officially open play on Friday, facing off against the River Mocs at 9:30 am EST (8:30 am CST). Live stream and live stats of the games can be followed on the GameChanger app.
